Asha Bhandary is an assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Iowa. Her research focuses mainly on political and social justice, autonomy, and care. She previously published “Dependency in Justice: Can Rawlsian Liberalism Accommodate Kittay's Dependency Critique?” in Hypatia (2010). She is now writing a book entitled Liberalism and Dependency Care, which modifies liberalism to include the provision of dependency care.
